International Wedding Destination Bridal Booking in Dubai

I have travelled the world and my favourite place has to be Dubai. The beach, the weather, the cosmopolitan city -what’s not to love? I had the chance to be flown over for a bridal booking and I sure did decide to stay extra and make it a vacation. Ahhh the perks of travelling.

Watch my little snippet of my trip to see the none stop action I had out there.

Bridal Booking

My lovely Russian bride was having a dual Asian fusion wedding and wanted the best of both cultures for her wedding functions. She was staying at Downtown Palace and so she had her pre wedding at the venue where she wore a lovely mesmerising orange dress. I did the makeup and kept it quite nude with hints of peach. I would be giving three different makeup looks.

Her second function she had a lovely extravagant white gown, I was requested to do her bridal makeup, as the bride just wanted to keep her hair simple and out. For this look we opted for pink lips, which would be different to her pre wedding but will keep her look quite fresh.

Her final function was her Indian Bridal ceremony held at the Atlantis in Palm Island. Here she wore a Sabyasachi floral inspired outfit with regal antique jewellery to compliment her look. The look was very interesting as she had the red chunni to compliment her florally lengha. Great for a summer look. Her makeup was a traditional Indian bridal look with a sleek bun and garland flowers wrapped around. The double chunni is a great accessory to add more colour or to add more contrast. The red chunni matched with her red lips and bangles. Therefore we kept the eyes nude browns. The weather was really hot, therefore making sure a good primer is important and using no foundation that is cream based is vital in conditions where the weather reached 36 degrees. For this look I did the hair and makeup and dressing of her chunni and flowers.

Best Places to Visit

Some of the places we visited if not pretty much everywhere we visited were

  1. The Dubai Mall - If you are into shopping then this place will tire you out with endless shops! I still get lost whenever I go here.

  2. Emirates Mall - same as above

  3. Burj Khalifa- At the top, I was made to walk around the whole boulevard which took way over an hour and half!

  4. Wild Wadi - Not as good as Atlantis as not many slides but good for a quick 3 hours to do all the slides.

  5. Atlantis Aquaventure- hands down whenever I go to this I absolutely love it! We purchased fast pass and its a must have as I am not waiting in those hour long ques.

  6. Dubai Expo 2020- This is definitely a place you need more than a day to see possibly 3/4 days, it's that big! Wasn't really a fan of this place but good to have seen it either way.

  7. Miracle Gardens- However we were unable to visit because they were still preparing all the Gardens for their November 6th opening.

  8. Global Village - This was similar but different to the Expo, but much preferred this place, was delightful.

  9. Jumeirah Beach, if you are staying at Jumeirah beach hotel or the surroundings then you can enjoy the views here. The public beach is such a no no.

  10. Dessert Safari- Quad biking, sand boarding, camel riding, dune bashing, dinner, shisha and a host of performances such as belly dancing, Turkish dancing, definitely a must do.

  11. Al Mamzar Beach Park- If you are unable to stay at the hotel beaches then this is a hidden treasure place to go, it's beautiful, very tranquil, lovely lush trees and pristine beach. Would actually be better to visit this place and much prefer it in terms of the peaceful surroundings than even the hotel beaches. However you love waves, then no this place does not have it, you'll have to resort to the beach hotels.

  12. Creek- must take a boat trip up the Creek

  13. Old Dubai- They say the place to do your shopping, but I must say I felt like I was in Pakistan or Green Street, East London and not my cuppa tea unfortunately.

Best Places to Stay and Best Places to hold your Wedding

  1. Atlantis Hotel- Not too much of a fan of the hotel beach, it dips down into deep waters pretty straight away, and can be quite windy as it's far out in the palm

  2. One and Only Mirage Palace- Have to say this was a beauty staying at this place, the architecture is stunning around the whole hotel, and attention to detail. The beaches are very quiet and definitely a very romantic place and great place to hold a wedding

  3. Burj Al Arab - If you want luxury and have a lot of money to splash then this is one hotel you need to stay at least once in your life to experience the 7 star treatment. However the beach access for weddings is amazing.

  4. Jumeirah Hotel- Nice hotel but actually the views from Madinat hotel is far more nicer.

  5. Madinat Jumeirah Hotel- prefer the view of this to Jumeirah Beach hotel. A lovely atmosphere with hidden water boats, very beautiful hotel to hold a wedding.

  6. Downtown Palace- If you like access to the financial area with the Dubai mall at your doorstep then this is the place, very instagrammable place to take your pictures. It's wear all the hustle and bustle is, pretty much like how central London is.
